As an individual who has had a passion for computing since acquiring an original IBM PC (8086) almost thirty years ago and as a U.C. Berkeley EECS & U.H. MFE graduate I feel that I am an ideal candidate for the position.  My experience as an IBM Tivoli support engineer has provided me with an invaluable understanding of cross-platform software, not only in terms of the software development life-cycle from which it originates but also in terms of how the most vexing and daunting problems can be solved using simple persistence and elegant ingenuity.  Having closed hundreds of defect isolation/defect analysis problem-management records (PMRs) for enterprise storage software problems on a variety of UNIX platforms (AIX, HP-UX, Solaris, and Red Hat Linux) I have been exposed to a number of concepts, configurations, and work environments such that a comfort level exists when I am working to solve challenging problems, whether for a customer or for our own company (via solutions deployed to our lab), be they small development tasks or large installations intended to meet a number of needs.  I understand not only the particulars of providing defect isolation support and defect analysis but also how software is planned, developed, tested, sold and supported.  I am certain that my knowledge, experience, and potential lend themselves to the opportunity in question.  While my resume provides further details of my work experience in various roles of the software development lifecycle & specific skills with respect to development I would be happy to answer any questions by way of interview.

Thank you for your time and patience in considering my request.
